Doris and Duffy Join Nancy Sinatra on SiriusXM Radio June 23

Carmel, Calif. – Nancy Sinatra and Doris Day share a love of music, movies and animals, and on June 23, SiriusXM Radio’s “Nancy for Frank” features Ms. Day in a 3-hour program with wonderful animal stories and memories to accompany the music.

“It’s the biggest and best show we’ve done,” Ms. Sinatra said of the upcoming broadcast.  The show will feature a number of songs recorded by both Mr. Sinatra and Ms. Day, played back-to-back. The songs are interspersed with interview excerpts, including Ms. Day’s chat about her beloved Maltese, Duffy, who inspired the Duffy Day Lifesaving Program.

“Duffy was in a tough spot, abandoned and tethered to the door of the Humane Society on a cold night,” Ms. Day recalled. “After help from some caring and compassionate friends, and quite a lot of veterinary intervention, he came to live with me. He’s a living testament to the work of the Doris Day Animal Foundation, as he brings me joy every single day!”

Ms. Sinatra and Ms. Day have both recently lost a four-legger, and they share their grief for a moment in the interview. But the subject matter then turns lighter, as the good work of the Doris Day Animal Foundation is discussed.

“These shows will go down in history, of that I'm certain,” Ms. Sinatra recently posted to her blog. “And I can't wait for them to air so you can all hear how lovely the lady is. She really hasn't changed at all.”

The Doris Day interview with Nancy Sinatra will first air on “Nancy for Frank” on SiriusXM Radio’s  Siriusly Sinatra Channel 71, Sunday June 23 from 5-8pm ET.  The program will be rebroadcast the following Tuesday, June 25, at 3pm ET and Thursday, June 27, at 9pm ET.
